Drone fine art photograph — aerial photography by Xynn Tii

Okay, so can we talk about that verbal altercation-turned friendship at British Museum? See, what had happened was, I wanted to capture a panoramic photograph of The Great Court. Because I thought it was so beautiful… Security thought otherwise.

Wait, backpedal. This was in the olden days, when I had a bulky ass tripod the size of Kevin Hart. So sneaking photographs with it was a full time job. And apparently you need a tripod permit at British Museum, so a social scuffle with these guys ensued.

But while making my case that I could produce the greatest interior shot they had ever seen, I was simultaneously capturing the panorama. See what I did there? Hold for applause. And British Museum ended up liking the photograph. The memories tho…

Looking back at the 22-year-old who was given a big shot in London.

Fred. Martin. Phillip. You already know. Thank you for believing in me.

Walking an average of 10 miles each day during this trip. Gratification.

Capturing the Brits on Regent Street and further west at Windsor Castle.

I thought New York City was densely populated. London takes the cake.

Palace of Westminster. Symmetry of Buckingham Palace. Nighttime light.

10 degrees. I can recall rotating in and out of coffee shops to keep warm.

Wellington Arch. Admiralty Arch. More London Riverside. Tower Bridge.

Meanwhile, Back In Miami…

Of all places traveled around the world, London sticks out as one of the most enjoyable destinations. People. Architecture. Perhaps it is because London feels so much like New York to me that I find myself irrevocably drawn to it. Aww, that Indian food tho…

Oh the possibilities of Dinero visiting London to capture its cityscape. Experiencing Shard of Glass from the air has always been a fantasy. Oh and Big Ben, close up. The airspace authorizations must be just as brutal as New York. Heathrow, how is life treating you?

To every British landmark documented, to all neighboring cities explored, to all rooftops discovered, and to all gas stations I stopped by for their water closet, thank you for the hospitality. A case of FOMO for these London streets, XYNN is in need of a deep encore..
