Everyone has there own form of meditation. It can be on a yoga mat amongst nature. It can be on a tarmac amongst cars. On the treadmill running a 5K. In the office running a business. There is no right or wrong way to be in a mindful state.

Modern ŌM Mindfulness Festival is a place where access to peace, love, and connection can be found within oneself. Hosted by The Sacred Space in Wynwood, MŌM held sessions and workshops across art, food, fitness, meditation, and tech.

Mindfulness is certainly a tool that anyone can use to enrich and balance life’s activities. Often times, we may find ourselves lacking daily tranquility. Moments where you relax and do nothing except be one with yourself and your thoughts. #modernomfest

The Sacred Space is like a spiritual sanctuary of mindfulness, meant for MŌM.

Cheers to Karla Dascal for re-hosting the festival this year. You go Glen Coco!

While I was preoccupied capturing the workshops, I got an opportunity to listen.

Tip #1 of mindfulness: Do not look at your phone when you wake up in the AM.

Myk Likhov, founder of Modern ŌM organized the festival. His company sells

jewelry, mainly malas. Translation: Buddhist prayer beads. Had to look that up.

Singer and meditation leader Biet closed the event with a heartfelt partner session.

Peace and tears filled the room. Her melodic song “Second Interval” set the tone.

Shout out to Zymbop for financing this film! Yup, it made the project happen. For me, procuring bucks for XT is meditation, but experiencing how others get their zen state of mind on generated a lot of ah-ha moments. Insert Oprah’s voice.

An overflow of cognitive data have come full circle with XYNN in the last 30 days. Sorta like a mid-life mini-crisis with a lot of self-therapy. Continuing to learn how to grow as a leader while still in my immature twenties. The struggle and grind are so real.
