Soooooo, we pissed off more people in 2017 than we did the year prior. Considering that statistic alone, I would say it was a successful 12 months. But who is really keeping track of stuff like that anyway? I prefer to focus on maturing as a wanna-be filmmaker.

On to the next one. Creating Turnberry Ocean Club’s foundation pour film in just 24 hours is what you must call execution. Fortunately, we took a very cinematic direction to this gritty nighttime scene. Game face, meet construction worker.

Lock, stock, and barrel with a run-and-gun team of two. As in most cases, we had no clue what was going to become of this opportunity. Nevertheless, Turnberry was impressed. As were we. And we left everything on the table, err Days Inn rooftop.

Every single person on the construction site had a role to fulfill on this night.

The facilitator effectively directed traffic of the cement trucks. Blow the whistle.

Construction is not clean. Intentionally, we made the color grading real dirty.

This added to the film’s emotion. And then the piano instrumental happened.

Droning through cranes and cement tubes. Utmost concentration is required.

RED Epic-Weapon did not disappoint with its 4K at 120 frames per second.

We captured only video, from which these visuals derive. 4K stills. Chef’s knife.

The next morning, Dinero and Zeiss put in aerial work from the ocean view.

The cement pour was organized so well, Turnberry finished 12 hours early.

We stopped by 1 week later, construction had already begun going vertical.
