Dear 1 Hotel,

Remember how sprung you had me last year when we first met at South Beach? I still dream about those moss-covered walls. Your organic ways really stole my heart and I felt my love for this nature-driven brand could never attain greater quantity.

But somehow, the debut of your LEED architecture, wood varieties, and plant species in one of my favorite cities has made me fall in love with you all over again. After one week of indulgence in your rain forest, no other space makes sense to me anymore.

Unobstructed vistas of Financial District. Triple-filtered water dispensers. Consistent aromatics throughout. Seriously, now you are just showing off. But I respect and love you even more for everything you have to offer. TY so much for having me.

Sincerely,
Xynn Tii

1 Hotel BB is situated in Dumbo, a matter of feet from Brooklyn Bridge.

And Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier is pretty much the front yard of 1 Hotel.

I brought along with me a Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 lens and went to town with it.

Full frames of empty spaces with close up portraits created a nice balance.

Naked trees have been one of my favorite elements of nature for a while.

There is something about the texture and color palette that is stimulating.

1 Hotel has just a liiiittle bit of texture. Copper. Reclaimed wood. Marble.

Bringing the outdoors, in with natural materials that look/feel welcoming.

Corner suites. Warm. Intimate. You see everything north, west, and south.

Statue of Liberty. Financial District. Brooklyn Bridge. A winter hammock.

The neighborhood of Dumbo is so relaxing to sojourn. And even to live in.

Directly across the river is fast-paced Wall Street. It feels like a world away.

View at 1 Rooftop. Despicable

So much was captured during my stay at 1 Hotel BB, we decided to create two Story editions for this assignment. Story 27 will focus more on my inclusive experience. Y’know, fresh ingredients, natural light, and interior design of suites.

A sneak peak of our new film shot at Albany Bahamas during New Year’s. 10 of us worked on it from start to finish over 3 months. Inspired by Watchtower of Turkey. We think Conch Daddy and Albany are going to be very much pleased.

While we continue sitting on our asses, anticipate our Brickell City Centre film.
