Pedro Alvarez and I were super bored. We were tired of looking at inspiration online and thus motivated to create something inspiring ourselves. Something that was entirely unconventional for hospitality and real estate.

Ever heard of a timelapse? No, not of sunsets or construction site progression. I mean a timelapse of interior design. That is what we did for 1 Hotel South Beach. We also decided to capture it in 8K resolution, just to set the tone.

The 1 Hotel Timelapse culminates all we have learned to date in creative direction.

Our shooting schedule was no joke! With each penthouse on the

market, we had to work around open houses and sales calls. NBD.

Of course, we still managed to find a way. It is all about execution.

We used split screen throughout the timelapse to pair relative

frames together, such as wide angles and close ups. This also

allowed us to add more frames in the timelapse unobtrusively.

Plant the Future

The storyboard for this project was down right sophisticated.

Without it, we would have never finished the timelapse. Really.

It kept us in check and organized, serving as a shot list and bible.

Furniture feelings

We roamed and surveyed every single location at 1 Hotel.

Now, I pretty much know each employee on a first name

basis, from corporate to room service/valet. We had fun.

1 Hotel & Homes, it has been sooo real! Thx Kane Sarhan for

the opportunity, Liubasha Rose for her maximalist design skillz,

and security for being very patient during this organic journey!
